Melissa + Bart: Engagement

I journeyed up to Hopkinsville, KY this past week to do an engagement portrait session for Melissa and Bart, who are getting married in the fall. Melissa and Bart were looking for an organic, outdoorsy style of images that captures their personality, and also incorporates their furry family-members. I hope you all enjoy viewing this set as much as I did shooting it!

John + Laura: Wedding

This past weekend I journeyed to Washington DC to chronicle the wedding of John & Laura at St. John's Church. St. John's is known as the church of Presidents, because of its location directly across Lafayette Square from the White House. Laura prepared for the ceremony at the luxurious Hay Adams Hotel, also across from the President's house, and the ceremony was around the corner at the historic Decatur House.

I was ably assisted throughout the day by local photographer Sarah Salyer, and can't thank her enough for all of her hard work.

I've also included in this set a handful of Laura's bridal portraits, taken in advance of the wedding.

Enjoy, and remember to click on the images for a larger version.

Yes, that's the White House Gate. I probably almost got shot.

Commercial: Masato Pearls

I was thrilled to be chosen to do the website and marketing photography for Masato Pearls' upcoming campaign. These are absolutely beautiful salt-water pearls from the far east: its always easier to do product photography when the product is simply stunning! Black, gold, and white pearls all have unique properties that represent special challenges for a photographer. here is a sampling of what we shot!
